Victory Daggubati Venkatesh is one of the Telugu heroes who attempted multiple remakes. Most of the time, the movies he picked went on to become huge blockbusters. Venkatesh also acted in bilingual projects and one such hit is Vasantham. Vasantham released in 2003, on this day, along with the Tamil version Priyamaana Thozhi with a different cast. NV Prasad and Sanam Naga Ashok Kumar produced the movie jointly under Sri Sai Deva Productions banner. Vikraman is the director of the movie. The film completes 17 years of the release.

 
Starring Venkatesh, Arti Agarwal, Kalyani in lead roles, SA Raj Kumar scored the music for the movie. The movie even won two Nandi Awards. V.V.S.Laxman, a former India cricketer played a guest role in this movie. The film had a 50-day run in 139 centers and it also completed 100 days in 71 centers. Vasantham is one of the biggest super hits of 2003. The film received a special jury Nandi Award for the Best film category and another award for the Costume Designer.
 
The movie was remade in Kannada in 2010 as Hoo. The fans are posting the film's collections and posters, to mark the celebrations of the movie's 17th birthday.
