Taran Adarsh, the film trader shared a glimpse into Vidyut Jammwal's character in Khuda Haafiz. The character teaser has a voice-over of Jammwal's character. Jammwal's character Sameer Choudhary says the words, "Mujhe Meri Nagris Chahiye. Bas!" It also shows the audience a side-profile of Jammwal's character. The Vidyut Jammwal and Shivaleeka Oberoi starrer will have a direct to digital release on Disney Plus HostStar on August 14th. Khuda Haafiz is set in the backdrop of the 2008 financial crisis. Jammwal's character Sameer Choudhary plays the role of a husband who races against time to rescue his kidnapped wife from human traffickers. The character teaser sheds light on Choudhary's plight in just one sentence. The intriguing teaser captures the essence of Jammwal's character and purpose.
 
The trailer to Khuda Haafiz came out a couple of days ago. The 2008 financial crisis leads Choudhary's wife Nargis to move to Noman (fictitious Gulf country) following the promise of a well-paying job. All things go south when Choudhary receives a call that informs him of the danger his wife is in. The call sends Choudhary on a journey to find his wife who is now believed to be lost in the world of international human trafficking.
 
Directed by Faruk Kabir, Khuda Haafiz also features actors Aahana Kumra, Shiv Pandit and Annu Kapoor, apart from Jammwal and Oberoi.
 
Disney Plus HotStar recently announced 7 films that will have a digital release on their platform. Khuda Haafiz is one of them. The others are Laxmmi Bomb, Bhuj: The Pride of India, The Big Bull, Sadak 2, Lootcase, and Dil Bechara. The announcement came in the form of a virtual press conference. Stars of the above-mentioned films like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, and Alia Bhatt attended the event. A controversy had erupted when it was later revealed Vidyut Jammwal and Kunal Kemmu were not invited to represent their films.
