Vijay Sethupathi's Maamanithan to be shot across India

Vijay Sethupathi, who is gearing up for the release of Seethakathi, has already commenced shooting for his next project titled Maamanithan. This film marks the third collaboration between Sethupathi and director Seenu Ramasamy after Thenmerku Paruvakatru and Dharmadurai.

Now, the latest update is that the shooting has started in Theni and will be shot across several cities in India. For the upcoming schedules, the team will head to Kerala, Rameshwaram and Varanasi to shoot important sequences in the film.

While Gayathrie plays the heroine, Guru Somasundaram of Joker fame will appear as Sethupathi's friend in the film. Produced by Yuvan Shankar Raja and Irfan Malik, this movie will have music composed by Yuvan, Ilaiyaraaja and Karthik Raja.

Irfan Malik, in a press statement said, "I am now in a state of being more than happy, I am super-excited as I can already foresee the final product. I feel blessed with such a classic team like Padma Vibushan Isaignani Ilayaraja sir and Yuvan Shankar Raja composing music together for the first time. Moreover, with a celebrated duo like Seenu Ramasamy-Vijay Sethupathi collaborating is something huge. In particular, the kind of movies (Dharmadurai and Thenmerku Paruva Kaatru) they have delivered is a major contribution to Tamil cinema, which will be celebrated as precious pearls.”
