A two-judge Bench, led by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, on Friday said an “appropriate Bench” will take up the Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit appeals on January 10.
In the brief moments of a rapid-fire hearing, Chief Justice Gogoi and Justice S.K. Kaul did not delve into the issue.
"Further orders will be passed by an appropriate bench on January 10 for fixing the date for hearing the matter," a bench comprising Chief Justice Gogoi and Justice SK Kaul said.
"Let the judicial process take its own course. Don't weigh it in political terms. Let the judicial process be over. After the judicial process is over, whatever be our responsibility as a government, we are ready to make all efforts," the prime minister had said during an interview, broadcast by several TV channels.
