Another member from TDP had got some trouble to be shared with his party. Such troubles in regular times might not have any great impact over their party. But in such situations where elections are not too far, such small troubles might lead to great loss to the party. This time, AP Minister Ayyanna Patrudu had made objectionable comments over widows during a campaign of Janmabhoomi in Chinnapalem of Buchaiahpeta Mandal. He questioned the public that how was it ok a for a women who was fit to ask for pension in the name of being a widow? He said it was fine if it was a old widow asking for it.
He added that women in villages seek pension by saying that they do not have husband. He went on saying that, they don’t even mention if their husbands were alive or not. Even if their husbands are missing they claim being widowed. He continued that these women’s husbands have left them due to their harassments after marriage. This issue has raised a question as if how a leader could ask such questions and comment over widows in public. This has got a negative impact over the TDP’s governance. This might be considered as the stand taken by TDP for pension to the widows recklessly. Someone in such respectable position is not expected to do such things.
