Heavy turnout expected for Kannur airport inauguration

In anticipation of an enormous turnout of people for the inauguration of the Kannur International airport here on Dec 9, Kannur International airport Ltd (KIAL) is fixing an enormous venue.
KIAL officers said nearly 60th of labor on the most pandal (shamiana) at the venue had been completed. The pandal is being founded as a hanger-like structure, they said, adding that the venue can have a complete space of around 1.20 large integer square foot and 25,000 capaciousness, with separate areas for Ministers, MPs, MLAs, media, and also the public.
Special arrangements are being created for those that relinquished their land for the airport project, they informed.
According to officers, the pandal are going to be prepared 3 or four days earlier than the inaugural day. It needs 2 to 3 days for the installation of led screens on each side of the stage and fans and also the completion of seating arrangements.
Interestingly, percussion master Mattannoor Sankarankutty can perform on a mini stage close to the most platform. ancient art forms are going to be conferred at the venue from 7 a.m. on the inaugural day.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu can reach the venue by 10 a.m. after lighting the lamp at the terminal and tired off the primary flight, KIAL said.
The terminal building, flyovers, and traffic management buildings are going to be lighted on the eve of the inauguration. A beam light will be flashed from ATC tower, the corporate supplemental.
