TDP Chief, CM of Andhra Pradesh, Chandra Babu Naidu, will be campaigning for the Mahakutami in the upcoming elections in Telangana. As per the sources, he will be conducting road shows, in about 18 constituencies in Telangana. Among these, in some constituencies, he will be sharing the Diaz with Congress President, Rahul Gandhi. This united campaign will be decided after Rahul Gandhi completes his electioneering in Madhya Pradesh in last week of November. Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts are those from which CBN will be campaigning. After all, these, will Naidu’s campaigns be of any help to Congress? Naidu actually wants to get his message to people through his campaigns. He wants to tell the people, why he had joined hands with Congress. Instead, it is said that it would be better for him if he had ensured that would there not be any effective shifting of votes from TDP to Congress and Vise Versa.
As this is a do or die battle for both the parties in unity, Naidu has finally decided to campaign in Telangana, in order to retain his party in Telangana. This will also give a boost to his unity in opposition across the country. Some reports say that this decision of Naidu will do more damage to Congress, than any good. TRS has already started campaigning in Telangana in order to maintain its self-respect sentiment. TRS has been accusing the Congress of falling for the support of TDP to gain votes in Telangana. It also accused that TDP is spending nearly 500 crores for the Congress campaign. And it is clear that, if there is no damage, there might not be any benefit for Congress by TDP as well. This might be because even CBN does not represent Telangana spirit. An analyst had written that people do not see CBN as a Telangana leader at all and that, this is why his campaign may not make any difference to the MAhakutami.
