Kottayam: The Nair Service Society (NSS) won't attend the meeting of community organisations, known as by chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan to discuss the Sabarimala issue. NSS general secretary G Sukumaran Nair created an officer announcement relating to this. The meeting can be continued saturday evening.
The association has taken the choice observant that they need been opposing the govt over allowing entry of all women into the Sabarimala temple. The NSS declared that they weren't inquisitive about any conciliation over the matter.
It was NSS that originally came forward opposing the supreme court finding permitting entry for all women to Sabarimala. Following them, other outfits also expressed strong protest.
Later, NSS withdrew from the general public protest claiming politicisation of Sabarimala issue. though NSS had planned to approach the court directly, later they modified the choice.
Now, the NSS has taken a robust stand by refusing to attend the meeting. Another community outfit, Kshathriya Kshema Sabha additionally refused to attend the meeting.
Meanwhile, SNDP has not declared its stand however. The SNDP leadership disclosed that a final decision on the matter are going to be taken once the core meeting.
