The candidate's list from Congress party was recently leaked. And according to this list, the Jangaon assembly seat was allotted to Telangana Jana Samithi, from which, Prof. Kondaram will be contesting as Mahakutami candidate. As this list was leaked, after looking at the list, former Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah strongly reacted saying that it is totally unfair to deny the Jangaon seat to a BC leader like him. He went on reminding the high command that BC voters had the majority in Jangaon. He said this, in opposition to the leader from Reddy community. He also warned high command that the BC voters will not tolerate this. If the reports from media are said to be true, then it is said that TRS party has extended its invitation to Ponnala to contest from Jangaon. And if he gets a victory then he has been assured of his ministry. All this was personally spoken by KCR to Ponnala.
On the other hand, the list also shows that the party has denied its seats to Komatireddy Rajgopal and Chirumarthi Lingaiah from Munugode and Nakrekal constituencies. Komatireddy Venkat Reddy told that he will not contest from Nalgonda if Lingaiah was denied the ticket. Just with the leaked list, there have been protests done in front of Gandhi Bhavan by followers of the aspirants. And It looks like the condition may even worsen if the official list is released.
