Parties in Grand alliance have been struggling hard to contest in as many segments as possible. But none of the parties in the grand alliance are trying to contest from seven segments of Hyderabad Parliament. Instead they say, what is the use of contesting in places where they know they might not stand? And Congress on the other hands wants each of its alliance forming parties to contest from at least one segment each. These seven segments are, Charminar, Chandrayangutta, Karwaan, Malapet, Yakuthpura, Bahadurpura and Nampally. None of TDP, CPI and TJS are willing to contest from these seven places. They even said that they can sacrifice certain number of seats they want but would not contest from those places. On the other hands, even TRS is not interested in contesting from these places where Muslim dominance is more. And this might be due to its understanding with AIMIM. And for now by such situations it looks like once again MIM would be retaining its seats in these seven segments of Hyderabad. Any how, there might be chances that Congress might convince any of its alliance to contest from some places but for now it’s a clean field for MIM. Souces say that even if some one else contests the majority always lies with MIM in these places.
