For the very first time after formation of Telangana, Sonia Gandhi had stepped into Telangana for a big public meeting. And UPA chairperson Sonia has got too emotional, that her voice got choked while addressing Telangana people at her Medchal rally on Friday. She sought to strike an emotional chord with people saying she felt like a mother meeting her children after many years. In her speech she said that she felt like a mother who was meeting her children after several years. She added that every mother would want their children to grow healthy and prosperous. By saying so she intended to say that she cares for the Telangana people as a mother cares for her children.
After this she stated that she does not see any healthy growth in her children as the person whom she expected to have cared for them did not take good care for them. By this she intended to blame KCR for not taking good care. As she said this, there were loud cheers saying Sonia Amma (mom). She said that bifurcation was not easy for her and she had to face lot of difficulties in doing so. And that she always wanted good for both the states. She said that she wanted to see both the new states growing healthy. She added that Manmohan Singh and Rahul Gandhi gave her the strength to overcome those difficulties. She also said that she had to pay lots of pain in granting Telangana as she had to face the anger of Andhra. She assured the people that, when she comes to power, she will grant the Special Status to Andhra Pradesh.
She blamed the TRS government as it lost to live up to the expectations of the Telangana people. She added that, she is much pained to see that the people of Telangana have failed to get their dreams turn true. They dreamed, but all those got shattered in terms of getting own water, employment and funds. She asked the people not to believe those, who fail to keep their word. Expressing that upcoming elections are the solutions for the present problems, Sonia asked the people to vote their alliance in Telangana. She released the manifesto and said that she had included all the sections of the society in it.
