Shalin Bhanot and Sumbul Touqeer, who were formerly friends but are now enemies, fight in the most recent episode. On day 90, Shalin was speaking with Tina Datta and Captain Shiv Thakare after the latter protected Sumbul from nominations. While talking, Shalin, who disagreed with Shiv's choice to save Sumbul, claimed that the latter's participation in the game was lower than that of the other players. Sumbul stepped in and remarked, "In which world are you living? My involvement in the game was less than four weeks back. No one ever told me that I'm a weak contestant".
Shalin turned back and said, "You yourself tell us about your involvement in the game. Your involvement isn't there. Your strong nature is not coming out. You're weak, even Bigg Boss thinks so". When Sumbul lost her composure, she attacked Shalin for portraying her as weak. She stated: "You are telling me that I'm weak on my face. I'm not weak. My father told me to fight because he knew that I'm strong. Who are you to decide whether I'm weak or not? No one has any right to say that, keep that in mind". When the argument turned ugly, Shalin called Sumbul a crybaby and told her not to cry anymore. Shalin's remark hurt the actress, who swore never to cry again and declared, "I'm not crying, I will not cry. Kabhi kisi ko itna mat rulaana ki uski aakhon ka paani hi sookh jaaye. Sumbul will never cry again".
In the previous episodes, the housemates nominated eight participants for a task that involved nominations. Bigg Boss assigned a mission in the most recent episode to keep one participant from being nominated. The task's nominated candidates were publishers, whereas the safe contestants were editors. The publishers had to present a bad story about the contestants they wished to nominate to editors: Shiv Thakare, Sajid Khan, Abdu Rozik, Archana Gautam, and MC Stan. Seven chosen stories provided by the publishers had to be published by the editors in "BB Daily." The participant who does not appear in the newspaper will be free from nominations. When the job is finished, Sumbul finds safety. Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Vikas Manaktala, Sreejita De, Soundarya Sharma, Tina Datta, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, and Shalin Bhanot have all received nominations.
