Bigg Boss 16 competitors Shalin Bhanot and Tina Datta had been at odds ever since she returned to the house after Shalin chose between conserving the reward money or shielding Tina or Sumbul Touqeer from nominations. He decided to choose the money over his alleged best friend. Everyone was shocked by his choice.
Tina and Shalin were chatting with Vikas Manaktala present and started to argue. Tina accused Shalin of ignoring her and her arguments rather than resolving them. In spite of his repeated assurances that he would do everything for her, she wondered how he could have let her leave with such ease.
Shalin added that despite the fact that he has done everything for Tina and doesn't give a damn what other people think, she consistently puts their friendship to the test. Shalin had already told Tina that Soundarya Sharma is far superior to her, which Tina brought up to Vikas. Shalin defended himself by claiming he said it in a fit of anger. Shalin and Tina then started a heated argument.
Shalin remarked that she even fears saying whether or not he is her lover. Tina raged and declared that he is not and will never be her boyfriend because he is unworthy of it. She also warned him that his aggressiveness would make no other girls want to be his girlfriend. She also added that he would never succeed with such behaviour. After this argument, they carried on talking. By the end of the 74th-day episode, Shalin was clearly upset with Tina. Their current relationship dynamics within the house are questionable.
