Bigg Boss Malayalam is the most followed reality show in Kerala. The season 2 of the show is currently underway. But we hear that it will get suspended in the wake of ongoing coronavirus outbreak. Yesterday, Endemol Shine India, who produces the show, released a statement. In their statement, they stated that it is a temporary suspension. We hear that official confirmation about Bigg Boss's suspension will also come out soon.
In its official statement, Endemol stated, "Endemol Shine India is committed to the well-being and safety of its employees, cast, and crew. We have currently announced a voluntary suspension of all our administrative and production department until further notice, in light of the pandemic spread of COVID-19. This is a temporary suspension aimed at contributing towards efforts of minimizing the spread of COVID-19 and to comply with all the safety and precautionary measures suggested by the Government. These measures have been taken in an abundance of caution and the company has not experienced any confirmed cases of COVID-19 within the organization. During these challenging times, we appreciate the understanding of our employees, partners, crew, and artists. We urge everyone to be safe and ensure necessary health measures. We hope to be back to entertaining you soon!"
We have to wait and see if Endemol suspends Bigg Boss or calls it off permanently this season. Superstar Mohanlal is the host of the Malayalam version of the reality show.
