It’s no shocker that every Tamil Nadu household appreciates Vijay’s movies. Added to that, Vijay has delivered a wide range of cinema excellence in the last decade, from Sarkar to Mersal. His latest hit Bigil, has now brought him higher box office collections than the national sensation Baahubali 2, in his home state.
This sports sensation stars Nayanthara as the lead actress. It’s an AR Rahman Musical. Directed by Atlee, this movie was already on the watch list for many before it hit the theaters. Now, after finishing 50 days in the box office, Bigil has collected a share of 80 crores overall. It can be said that the prominent cast for various roles in the movie must have been an added feature for its promotions.
Despite being released alongside with Karthi’s 'Kaithi', on October 25th, both the movies made way to the audience’s hearts with no difficulty. Produced by AGS Entertainment, Bigil had the edge, along with brilliant cinematography from G.K. Vishnu and Ruben’s editing.
While it was high time to celebrate pocketing back the success into the local cinema industry, a Vijay starrer did it yet again. Congratulations to Bigil’s team for this huge success!
Thalapathy Vijay’s Bigil continued its strong run at the worldwide box office becoming Vijay's highest grosser amassing 250 Crore in just 14 days. After fetching gross over 180 Crore at the domestic box office, the film extended its good run in overseas markets as well.
Bigil marks the hat-trick ₹250 Cr grosser for Thalapathy Vijay after Mersal and Sarkar. With gross over ₹256 Crore it is now the fourth highest Kollywood grosser after Superstar Rajinikanth’s 2.0, Endhiran and Kabali.
