Good Newwz box office collection day 9

There were no major releases this week and Good Newzz expects to continue doing well at the box office. The movie earned a total of ₹47.43 crores within the first weekend and crossed ₹136 crores within the second week of its release.

On New Year’s itself, the film earned about ₹22.50 crores. By the end of the weekend, the film is predicted to cross the ₹150 crore mark. Taran Adarsh tweeted saying, “#GoodNewwz is unstoppable... Continues to win hearts, woo BO... Records rock-steady numbers on [second] Fri... North circuits superb... Should comfortably cross ₹ 150 cr in Weekend 2... [Week 2] Fri 8.10 cr. Total: ₹ 136 cr.

While Good Newwz seems to be loved by the audience, it did not receive a great response from critics. India Today reviewer Nairita Mukerjhee wrote, "Good Newwz has its fair and unfair share of preachy dialogues. From "tumhare andar ek jaan pal rahi hai" in the context of abortion to "apna khoon toh apna hi hota hai" in the context of IVF vs adoption, look closely, and Good Newwz will disappoint." Producer Karan Johar shared a congratulatory message for the team.
