The Fast & Furious fans in India were not impressed by Hobbs & Shaw. The Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham and Idris Elba set up a good first weekend after a great first day collection. But, the film struggles during the weekday to put up a nice show.
On Monday, Day 4, the Fast & Furious spin-off experienced a fall of as high as 55%, it has now been disclosed that on Tuesday, Day 5, Hobbs & Shaw observed another dip. According to Box Office India, after the fall in the collection on Monday, the Tuesday collections witnessed a 15 percent drop over the dip it witnessed.
On Tuesday, the film registered Rs 4.25 crore nett box office collection. The India box office collections pushed Hobbs & Shaw to Rs 46.25 crore nett.
The site notes that the movie had not found appreciation and is likely struggle post the first week and it would be a shortened second week. Its run would almost come to an end when Batla House and Mission Mangal would release. The movie would fall well short of the last two movies of the franchise.
The makers of this movie are planning to make the spin-off sequel. It is rumoured that Keanu Reeves is regarded in the spin-off for the role of the new villain. The buzz is also that the audience could see Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds who was featured in a cameo role in this movie.
