Karthi’s Khaidi started on a dull note at the box-office on its day 1-noon shows, with excellent word of mouth the movie gained momentum in collections by evening and second shows. Khaidi is the best example of how a film can get benefitted by strong word of mouth. The film witnessed good growth on Day 2 and picked up excellently in its first weekend.

The film completed 1st week run at box-office with strong collections on working days too and few areas achieved break-even mark in its 1st week itself. With excellent hold in 2nd week, Khaidi emerged as a double blockbuster for its buyers as it had sold for very reasonable prices.
