Akhil's Latest movie "Mr.Majnu" directed by Venky Atluri got released on 25th January 2019. Akhil Akkineni made his acting debut with Akhil: The Power of Jua, which failed to get him a big break, as it bombed at the box office. His second film Hello was also a big disappointment at the ticket counters. The young actor has chosen a Romantic comedy entertainer for his third film Mr. Majnu.
Mr Majnu has been made with a whopping budget of Rs 30 crore and its theatrical rights were sold for Rs 22 crore. Mr Majnu collected a share of Rs 7.41 crore in two days at the worldwide box-office. On day 2 Mr Majnu minted around Rs 2.50 crore in Telugu States, is less than Day 1 which is not a good sign for the movie, as trade expected Day 2 to be much higher than Day 1 considering the talk and also the second day was a public holiday.
However the movie failed to utilise the public holiday on Day 2, now the only hope for the movie to get some big numbers at the box-office is on Sunday Day 3. Mr Majnu Needs to pick up on Day 3 which is Sunday and should at least perform on par with Day 2 at Box-office. If not Mr Majnu will end up as one more flop movie for Akhil Akkineni as there is no hope for the movie to do good in coming weekdays.
As per trend, it looks like Day 1 > Day 2 Day 3.. which is not a good sign considering the costs involved so movie needs a huge turn around at box-office to be a safe venture.
