Nandamuri Balakrishna has finally come up with his follow up film to Akhanda. Akhanda was released towards the end of 2021 nd turned out to be biggest success of Balakrishna's career. The film was directed by Boyapati Srinu and turned out to be a major comeback for the director. Akhanda was also a comeback for Balayya, as he had faced several flops up until then. Now, Balayya managed to score another hit in the form of Veera Simha Reddy, directed by Gopichand Malineni.
Veera Simha Reddy was released on the 12th of January and turned out to be a good success, for Sankranthi. The film features Shruti Haasan as the leading lady, while Varalaxmi Sarathkumar was seen in an important role. She was seen as Balayya's sister, and the scenes between her and Balayya were heartwarming. Her performance in the second half of the film was very well received. Malayalam actress Honey Rose is also a part of the film and has been seen in a key role.
This is the second consecutive hit for Gopichand Malineni, who previously scored a blockbuster with Krack. Ravi Teja was the leading man in the film, in which Shruti was the leading lady. SS Thaman scored the songs and the background music of the film, which turned out to be one of the major highlights of the film.
