Tollywood has very few actors who go beyond their stardom to experiment with the content of their stories. Rana Daggubati is no doubt one of such actors who chooses unique stories giving a chance to young and talented directors. Movies like ‘Leader', 'Ghazi' and ‘Nene Raju Nene Mantri' has proved his versatility.
Taking this forward, the Baahubali actor has teamed up with 'Needhi Nadhi Oke Katha' fame Venu Udugula for his upcoming periodic movie 'Virataparvam’ to essay the role of a politician. Sai Pallavi would share the screen with Rana as his lady love whereas Bollywood actor Tabu will play the role of a social activist. The periodic film is said to be the story revolving around the Emergency between 1975-1992 which narrates the erstwhile burning issues like human rights and democracy.
'Virataparvam' would reportedly show the 17 years of journey of Rana and Sai Pallavi during the Emergency period and the actors will undergo a necessary makeover. This unconventional flick will start its shooting from July this year which would be bankrolled by Rana’s father D Suresh Babu.
