2019 Oscar awards event took place on February 24th in Los Angeles, California. It has been conducted for the first time with no host.
Green Book took home the biggest prize of the night as it won the award for Best Picture at the 2019 Oscars, while Rami Malek and Olivia Colman picked up the acting awards. The Queen-Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody led the 91st Academy Awards with the most number of wins (4), followed by the Alfonso Cuarón-directed Netflix film Roma, the Marvel movie Black Panther, and the Don Shirley biopic Green Book with three apiece. Cuaron won three awards himself at the 2019 Oscars, for direction, cinematography, and foreign-language film.
Not only did Lady Gaga win an Oscar on Sunday night, but her performance with Bradley Cooper hit viewers right in the feels. Shot entirely from upstage, with the audience acting as a backdrop, the duo's rendition of "Shallow" from their film "A Star Is Born" was as intimate as it was seeped in chemistry. an Indian documentary on young village women making sanitary pad has won an Oscar award. The documentary was shot in Kathi Khera village in UP.
