29 Years Of Movie Deewana: Shah Rukh Khan Thanks Fans For Overwhelming Love Of Almost Three Decades

29 years ago, the actor who's known as the 'King of romance' made his debut in Bollywood with his film Deewana. Co-starring Rishi Kapoor and Divya Bharti, Shah Rukh Khan solely managed to sweep the hearts of many with his charming and mesmerizing performance in the film. And as the actor completes almost three decades in the industry, his fans are showering immense love and this has overwhelmed Shah Rukh who decided to reciprocate some.

On his Twitter handle, SRK wrote,

Been working. Just saw the ’overwhelmed ness’ of the lov of nearly 30 yrs u r showering on me here. Realised it’s more than half my life in the service of hoping to entertain u all. Will take out time tomorrow & share some love back personally. Thx needed to feel loved….

Deewana was released in 1992 and the story of the film revolves around a girl named Kajal (Divya) who gets widowed after her husband Ravi (Rishi) gets killed. She, later on, moves to another city and meets Raja (SRK) but their lives turn around when Ravi comes back from the dead. The film was directed by Raj Kanwar. The songs of the film equally made a mark as the film. Songs like Aisi Deewangi, Sochenge Tumhe Pyaar, and Teri Umeed Tera Intezaar are still some of the most remembered songs of the century.
