74th Emmy Awards: Zendeya, Matthew Macfadyen And Squid Game Wins Awards

The Emmy Awards, which recognize the best programs in television, have been announced. This year's awards were presented at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles. HBO hit the highs with awards for Matthew Macfadyen, Zendaya, and Jennifer Coolidge. Hwang Dong-hyuk was named Best Director for his work on the Korean series "Squid Games."

 
Ted Lasso was nominated for Comedy Series and for Best Drama. Lee Jung-Jae won Best Actor in a Drama for his performance in Squid Game, and Zendaya won Best Actress for her performance in Euphoria. Hwang Dong-hyuk won for Best Director in a Drama Series for the show "Squid Game. MJ Delaney was also nominated for Best Comedy Series Directing.
 
Jason Sudeikis was nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance in Ted Lasso, and Jean Smart for Best Actress for Hacks. Last week, Tonight with John Oliver was nominated for a variety talk show. Saturday Night Live became a variety sketch show.
 
"The Beatles: Get Back" also won in the non-fiction or documentary series category, and George Carlin's American Dream in the septal category.
 
Squid's Game is the first South Korean drama to win an Emmy. HBO won the most awards this year. Apple TV has also won the award, this time with the comedy series Ted KESO.
