Trending hashtags on release anniversaries have become a norm these days. Fans are taking it as a competition and are trying to make their favourite hero's film as the most trended one. Today is the eighth release of Pawan Kalyan's blockbuster film Gabbar Singh. All Power Star fans decided to trend it wide to break all the existing records. They are successful in doing that as well. Now, #8YrsOfGabbarSinghHysteria has become the most trended film anniversary hashtag on Twitter.

 
As per the official reports, this hashtag has managed to get more than 13.4 million tweets in 24 hours. With this feat, Gabbar Singh broke the record of Pokiri. The hashtag #14YearsForSouthIndiaIHPokiri got more than 8.47 million tweets in a day. Now, it has got down to second place. The third-place got secured by #DecadeOfClassicDarling (4 million). The subsequent positions got claimed by #2YearsForBharatAneNenu (2.75 million), #3YrsForMightyBaahubali2 (1.53 million) and #DecadeForMemorableAarya2 (1.21 million).
 
This new trend of fan war will continue in the future as well. We have to see how many films will break these existing records in the coming days. Coming back to Gabbar Singh, this film is a special one for Pawan Kalyan and all his fans. It gave Pawan a much-needed success after a gap of 11 years. Directed by Harish Shankar, this film featured Shruti Haasan as the female lead. Bandla Ganesh bankrolled the project and Devi Sri Prasad had composed the music of the film. It was a humongous blockbuster at the box office.
