96 Telugu remake lands in soup as producer and director fight over the film
96, the Tamil film starring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha garnered a lot of love from fans as it rekindled their school and college memories. The film is presently getting remade in Telugu with Samantha and Sharwanand playing the lead roles.
The film was supposed to go on floors in March, but it looks like it has hit a roadblock as producer Dil Raju and Director C Prem Kumar are having difference in opinion regarding the script and crew.
Reportedly, Dil Raju wants Prem Kumar to make several changes to the film’s script to suit the taste of Telugu audience. Prem, on the other hand doesn’t want to make any changes and want to stick to what he made with the Tamil version.
Further, the director wanted to rope in Govind Vasantha who composed the lovely album of 96 in Tamil. Dil Raju opposes Prem’s idea and wanted to sign a top music director for the Telugu version.
There is a friction between the two and it is said that the film might run into deep trouble if they do not reconcile soon.
