As the festival of Diwali approaches, the celebration begins in various regions of the nation. And Bollywood is famous for hosting grandeur parties and celebrating the festival of lights with much pomp and show. However, due to the situation of the pandemic this year and the rising cases of Coronavirus, it looks like the Bachchan family has refrained from hosting any party.
Talking to a leading website, Abhishek Bachchan said, "It’s true. We had a death in the family this year. My sister Shweta’s mother-in-law (Ritu Nanda) passed away. Besides, who hosts parties at a time like this? Civilization is going through the worst crisis ever. We all need to be as careful as possible. Observing the utmost social distance is the only option we have. And that too is not a guarantee against infection. Diwali parties and other social occasions are for now a distant dream."
As we all know, the Bachchan family have themselves gone through the infectious virus and faced the stress of being infected. This is also one of the reasons why they are not ready to call the shots and prefer precaution over cure. He added, "There is no guarantee of immunity just because one has gone through it. It’s all so uncertain. One has to just push along hoping for the best.” not just Amitabh and Abhishek, but Aishwarya Rai and Aaradhya Bachchan were also infected with Coronavirus.
