Actor Karthik admitted to hospital for breathlessness

Veteran actor Karthik was hospitalised at the Malar Fortis hospital in Chennai after he complained of breathlessness. On Saturday (March 20), Karthi was busy campaigning for the upcoming elections and suddenly complained of breathing issues. He was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. The doctors tested him for the novel coronavirus which turned out to be negative. After receiving treatment, Karthik seems to be doing well and is expected to be discharged in a couple of days. Karthik will be campaigning for the BJP and AIADMK alliance in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections.

Though he is not contesting in any constituency, he will be campaigning for the parties especially BJP's Khushbu who is his close friends. Many celebrities wished Karthik a speedy recovery. On the work front, Karthik is said to be shooting for the Tamil remake of the Bollywood film Andhadhun, which features Prashanth, Priya Anand and Simran in lead roles. Reportedly, he will play a pivotal role in which he is currently shooting. Andhadhun's Tamil remake, directed by Thiagarajan is titled Andhagan. Karthik is also working on another film titled Thee Ivan.
