Actor Vikram Gokhale Passes Away; Kamal Haasan Pays Tribute

Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale passed away today while receiving treatment at a hospital in Pune. The legendary actor, is best known for his work in the Kollywood films "Aalavandhan" and "Hey Ram," which star Kamal Haasan. He passed away on November 26 in Pune. Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan paid respect to the wonderful actor who passed away. In his lengthy career, Vikram Gokhale has participated in two Tamil films, Hey Ram (2000) and Aalavandhan (2001). Both of them are starred by Kamal Haasan. Kamal Haasan posted a Tamil tribute to the seasoned actor.

 
"Vikram Gokhale started his acting career on stage and established himself on screen. I have admired his talent in 'Aalavandhan' and 'Hey Ram'. He loved acting so much that his film was released earlier this month after he was admitted to the hospital due to physical weakness. My tribute to him."
 
Before he passed away from multiple-organ failure, the veteran actor's condition marginally worsened. He remained on ventilator support.
 
His two daughters and wife, Vrushali Gokhle are the members of his family . The seasoned actor spent more than 15 days in the hospital and was in a critical state. In the Suresh Krissna-directed film "Aalavandhan," he played Ranganath. The character was the maternal uncle of Nandhu and Vijay. Both of whom were portrayed by Kamal Haasan. Actor Vikram Gokhale has appeared in various Marathi and Bollywood movies, including "Agneepath" (1990), "Bhool Bhulaiya" (2007), "Natsamrat" (2015), and "Mission Mangal." His latest film was "Godavari," (2019) his most recent Marathi film.
