People have a misconception of underestimating female actors cannot perform action stunts. Defying such misconceptions, 53-year-old Halle Berry performed deadly action stunts in last year's super hit film John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum. She says that she did the film as it gave her chance to kick ageism in the face. She also said that she signed the film without even reading the script.
Speaking in a recent interview, Halle Berry said that she accepted Joh Wick without even reading the script. She said that she signed the film as she is a fan of both John Wick Chapter:1 and John Wick Chapter: 2. Halle felt that John Wick will definitely require her to kick the ageism on the face. She says that people think that they cannot do certain things after reaching a particular age. She believed that John Wick will be a great platform for her to show something different.
Halle also revealed how she got the offer. One day, she got a phone call from her agent and manager saying that John Wick Part 3 is under works. They also asked her whether she watched the first two parts. She then told them yes and also confessed that she is a big fan of the franchise. Then, they told her that the makers are looking for an actress to play a key role. She immediately said that she is in. Then, everything fell in place and Halle went on board. Directed by Chad Stahelski, this film was a big blockbuster at the box office. Currently, the makers are planning to make another part of the film soon.
