Adivi Sesh Opens Up On Being Frustrated While Filming Major

In a recent interview, Adivi Sesh talked about being frustrated when filming Major had to stop to make way to a Bollywood film shoot. Adivi Sesh had a fantastic year in 2022 thanks to the success of Major and HIT 2.

Major was the actor's most challenging project to date. It tells the heroic tale of Sandeep Unnikrishnan, a martyr who died protecting others during the 26/11 Mumbai terrorist attacks. The film's compelling plot and goosebumps-inducing performance won it praise from both reviewers and viewers.

Adivi Sesh began by describing his remarkable experience filming Major and how difficult it was to shoot the conclusion. As they broke down the sets, he remembered shooting the climax and remarked, "a Bollywood film had booked the studio we were shooting. And because we were shooting in fire and I got sick, it got over delayed. It came to the point that they had to shoot and the studio guys started to break down the sets while I was sitting with blood trying to fight. We were able to hear hammers banging and our assistant directors were trying to manage to say it's the climax, let's shoot and all. There was this one moment when we lost it. There was no way we could finish it, we had 8 more shots to do, and we had only half an hour left. And they were breaking down the sets. 8 shots mean we needed at least half a day, so I just lost it. I actually started crying. And our brilliant director Sashi said whatever frustration you are feeling right now put it all in the scene and shoot everything in one. We put on two cameras and did it in one shot."

The 2008 26/11 Mumbai attack claimed the life of the decorated NSG Commando Sandeep Unnikrishnan. Sashi Kiran Tikka directed the film. Major follows the life of Sandeep Unnikrishnan from boyhood till the tragic event of 26/11. Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, and Prakash Raj also play significant roles in the movie.
