Dhanush's film 3 is special for him for so many reasons. With this film, he introduced composer Anirudh Ravichander and his wife Aishwaryaa Dhanush. Even before the film's release, the song Why This Kolaveri Di leaked and became a sensational hit not just in India but across the entire world, becoming the most watched Youtube video for some time.
Even today, the song remains one of the top songs on YouTube. However, after 7 years, the song and the music label which owns the song are in legal trouble. RK Film Productions produced the film 3 and sold the Tamil and Telugu rights of the album to Sony Music South.
But, the production house alleged that Sony Music South violated the copyrights by illegally using the song in Hindi and other languages. Hence, RK Film Production filed a case against the company. In a counter-petition, Sony Music Company wanted the court to dismiss the case.
On Monday, the judge Velmurugan heard the case and said that there was evidence of copyright infringement and said that they wouldn't dismiss the case filed by RK Film Production.
