As the number of cases of COVID-19 surge in the country, Bollywood artists too aren't quite immune to the same. After recently Ranbir Kapoor had announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19, his girlfriend Alia Bhatt has too contracted the virus. She took to her social media handle to announce her fans and close ones. "Hello all, I have tested positive for Covid-19. I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors. Grateful for all your love and support. Please stay safe and take care," Alia wrote in her post that she shared.

Earlier this week, actress Fatima Sana Sheikh had announced she tested positive. Music director and singer Bappi Lahiri too contracted the virus and has been hospitalised for precautionary reasons. Others include Vikrant Massey, Kartik Aaryan, Tara Sutaria, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, etc.
On the work front, Alia Bhatt has a list of films in line. She has been prepping up for her Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directorial film Gangubai Kathiawadi.
