Director Amit Sharma of 'Badhaai Ho' is currently busy with his upcoming movie, 'Maidan'. The shooting is taking place at Kolkata's Rabindra Sarobar amidst tight security.
It is Ajay Devgn's first day of shoot in the city. The film showcases the golden years of the Indian football team and how they made the country proud between 1952 and 1962 under the guidance of Syed Abdul Rahim. Ajay Devgn is playing the role of Rahim in the film. Sources are claiming that Ajay is extremely punctual. He reaches the set on time with his make-up on. He will be busy either talking to the director or rehearsing his scenes. His team including his personal chef also joined him for the shoot. The shooting will take place in the city in Howrah, Park Street, Maidan areas and in Chandernagore till the first week of December.
Ajay Devgn is currently shooting a scene where he is scouting for players. Cinematographer Chris Reed who is an expert in sports films is working hard to make the scenes look authentic.
