Ajith Will Not Do Pre-Release Promotions For Thunivu

Thunivu, Ajith Kumar's next film, is now in post-production, with dubbing work underway. With the movie due to be released next year during Pongal, there are rumors that Ajith might take part in a pre-release event planned by the producers. However, it is known that the actor would not participate in any special advertising activities for the picture.

A portion of the media is buzzing with claims that the creators are organizing a major pre-release festival for fans to promote the film and that they are in discussions with Ajith to get him to come to the event, which may be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Suresh Chandra, his manager, and spokesman tweeted,

suggesting that the actor will not be involved in the campaign. The most recent film Ajith promoted through attending events is the 2010 release Aasal, directed by Saran and produced by actor Prabhu. Sameera Reddy and Bhavana also appeared in the action thriller. Meanwhile, Thunivu is the actor's third collaboration with filmmaker H Vinoth, following Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai. Boney Kapoor is producing the film, which Udhayanidhi Stalin will release. The film is billed as an action thriller and stars Manjima Mohan and Samuthirakani, among others. The film was shot in Hyderabad and afterward in Bangkok.
