One of the most anticipated Tamil films of this season is Thala
Ajith Kumar's Valimai. This action-thriller is being directed by H. Vinoth. Valimai is currently in the midway of its shoot. Earlier, the makers have planned to release it during Pongal 2021. But due to the coronavirus pandemic, those plans have got flopped. Thus, the team is now planning to release the movie on May 1st, 2021, on the occasion of Ajith's birthday.
The shoot of the film is under a halt from the last two months due to the ongoing pandemic. Thus, it takes time for the team to finish the movie. Releasing it on Pongal will only keep the schedule tighter. Moreover, Superstar Rajinikanth's Annaatthe has confirmed its berth for Pongal. Especially after coming out of a pandemic, no maker wishes to clash with another big release. Hence, the makers of Valimai thought that May 1st will be a suitable date for the release. So, Thala fans have to wait for a year to witness their favorite star on the big screen.
Ajith is playing the role of a police officer in this movie. He is donning the role of a cop after the 2015 film Yennai Arindhaal. Huma Qureshi and
Yami Gautam are playing the female leads in it. Boney Kapoor is bankrolling the movie under Bay View Projects. This is the second collaboration between Ajith, Vinoth, and Boney after last year's Nerkonda Parvaai. Yuvan Shakar Raja is composing the music for Valimai and Nirah Shah is handling the cinematography. More details of this movie will get revealed soon.
