Samantha Akkineni is currently riding high on the success of her latest film Jaanu. Starring Sharwanand in the lead role, this movie has hit the screens a couple of days back and is having a good run at the box office. Jaanu is an official remake of Tamil hit 96. Apart from this, Samantha is acting in the web series, The Family Man. She will feature in season two of this show, which will be streaming later this year.
Now, we hear that Samantha has signed another film. According to the sources, Samantha has okayed a Tamil film called Kathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal under the direction of Vignesh Shivn. This film also features Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara as the other leads. This will be Samantha's first film with Sethupathi, Nayan as well as Vignesh Shivn. On the flip side, the rest three had earlier worked together for the film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan (Nenu Rowdy Ne in Telugu). The shoot of this film will go on floors very soon.
We also heard that Anirudh Ravichander will be composing the music for this movie. Of late, Samantha has been only signing performance-oriented roles and this makes us believe that Vignesh has offered her a meaty role in Kathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal. Samantha's last Tamil release was Super Deluxe.
