Alia Bhatt transforms into 'Gangu Bai'

'Gangubai Kathiawadi' is an upcoming Bollywood movie written-directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film featured Alia Bhatt who is riding high with back to back successes is on board to play the lead role in the film.

The movie is about a chapter of Hussain Zaidi's book 'Mafia Queens of Mumbai' and about Gangubai Kathiawadi, a brothel owner and matriarch. The expectations are high on this film and the fans are super excited to watch Alia Bhatt in such a challenging role. Today, the makers have unveiled the first look poster of the film which is now going viral on the internet. Alia Bhatt is looking extremely different in the poster and is increasing the expectations of the film. Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Jayantilal Gada under Bhansali Productions and Pen India Limited are bankrolling this project. The movie is gearing up for a grand release on 11 September 2020.
