Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to all the Indian citizens to buy locally-made goods. He asked everyone to avoid using foreign goods and encourage the local makers. Actor Allu Sirish
is now promoting this idea, 'Go Vocal For Local.' He is giving away some Indian-made products to all the celebrities across the Telugu film industry. He also sent a gift hamper to his elder brother Allu Arjun
. The Parugu actor appreciated the idea of Sirish and called it an amazing initiative.
Earlier this morning, Allu Arjun shared a picture of Sirish's hamper. He then captioned, "GO LOCAL BE VOCAL “ WHAT AN AMAZING INITIATIVE SIRI @allusirish. GREAT IDEA OF USING ONLY INDIAN PRODUCTS & PROMOTING THEM. PROUD OF YOU. JAI HIND."
The note in Allu Sirish's hamper read, "The ongoing COVID pandemic has changed the way we need to look at things. This is time for us to support our country by using more local brands. In a globalized world, it's impractical for us to buy ONLY Indian brands. But I request you to make a conscious effort to use MORE Indian brands. It's also the time for us to break the myth that it isn't cool to use Indian brands by being VOCAL about our usage. Hope you enjoy your hamper with the world-class Indian products. This Independence Day lets "Go Local, Be Vocal". Jai Hind! - Allu Sirish."
Sirish also sent this hamper to the likes of Raashi Khanna
and Upasana Konidela.
