Sukumar, who made Allu Arjun a superstar with the film Arya, is on the making of his new film Pushpa. The makers announced last week that the film would hit theaters for Christmas release this year. Fahad Faasil arrives as the villain in Pushpa. The Pushpa team has prepared a congratulatory and gift for Fahad, who celebrated his 39th birthday on August 8.
Makers released a special poster saying Pushpa wishes his opponent. Allu Arjun will play the role of Pushparaja, a sandalwood smuggler.
“Evil Was Never So Dangerous;” makers wrote after sharing the poster. From the poster, Fahadh Faasil appears to play a deadly role in the film. The first installment, Pushpa: The Rise, would star Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil in prominent roles.
The first plan was to release the first part of Pushpa on August 13 and the second part in 2022. Pushpa’s release date shifted to December as theatres closed due to the Covid expansion. After the mega-hits Arya and Arya 2, Pushpa is the movie where Allu and Sukumar come together. Pushpa will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. Dhananjay, Sunil, and Ajay Ghosh play other important roles. Rasool Pookutty is the sound mixer for the film.
According to reports, Allu Arjun has paid Rs 70 crore for the film. It is reported that the film is being made at a cost of Rs 250 crores.
