Amala is one of the iconic actresses who made a name for herself in Tamil and Telugu film industries. She bid adieu to films in 1992 after she married Nagarjuna.
The actress made a comeback in Sekar Kammula’s Life Is Beautiful and Vikram K Kumar’s Manam. However, she appeared only on cameo roles.
It’s being speculated that Amala wanted to a full-fledged role in Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya’s Manmadhudu 2, which is being directed by Rahul Ravindran of Chi La Sow fame.
It is said that Amala will play the role of a mother. However, Annapurna Studios has quashed the rumored and said that Amala will not be playing a full-fledged role but a cameo which will last a few minutes.
The shooting of Manmadhudu 2 will commence in Portugal sometime in March.
