Popular Bollywood director-producer Mahesh Bhatt is gearing up to foray into the digital space. These days, all the top directors and actors are trying their luck on the OTT platforms due to its wide market. Now, veteran filmmaker like Bhatt has also joined this list.
Recently, Mahesh Bhatt revealed that his maiden web series will deal with the story of a struggling filmmaker in the 1970s, a reigning female superstar at that time and the relationship between them. As soon as Mahesh gave this statement, everyone confirmed that it is going to be his real-life story and his relationship with yesteryear diva Parveen Babi.
The relationship of Mahesh Bhatt and Parveen Babi was quite known to everyone and even Mahesh spoke about it in many instances. Now, he has decided to make this story as a series.
According to the sources, southern actress, Amala Paul will play the role of Parveen Babi in this series. Apparently, the makers have thought that Amala will fit the bill perfectly and roped in her as the female lead. An official announcement regarding this will be out soon. Amala is currently acting in a Netflix's Telugu anthology film. She is acting in a segment which is being directed by Nandini Reddy.
