These days, many filmmakers are venturing into the digital space and are turning out as showrunners for web series. Directors like Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, and Vikramaditya Motwane have already proved their mettle in the digital arena as well. Now veteran Bollywood filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt joins this list.
In December last year, Mahesh Bhatt announced that he is venturing into the digital space and is making a series on a love story set in the 1970s between a diva star heroine and a struggling filmmaker. As soon as Mahesh made this statement, everyone got clarity that it is going to be his own relationship story with former super diva Parveen Babi. Bhatt has announced this project this morning. The series will feature South Indian actress Amala Paul as Parveen Babi and Chichhorre fame Tahir Raj Bhasin will reprise the role of Bhatt. While Bhatt will be the show-runner, Pushpdeep Bharadwaj will direct this project.

The shoot of this film will go on floors very soon and it will stream on Jio Cinemas.
