Amitabh Bachchan once again proved to be a 'Big' hearted 'B' by announcing to donating Rs 5 Lac each to the families of the 49 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) martyrs' families who died in the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.
The 76-year-old renowned actor also canceled his appointment with Virat Kohli's Foundation event in which he will attend to be a special guest. He immediately decided to cancel his visit as a form of obeisance, which will now be held on Saturday.
A suicide bomber claimed to be from Jaish-e-Mohammad, crashed his vehicle packed with explosives into a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) bus on the Jammu-Srinagar highway in Pulwama district. At least 40 troopers were killed on the spot and the toll rose to 49 on Friday whereas several other injured jawans are being treated.
His spokesperson confirmed the news saying, “Yes, Mr. Bachchan will be giving Rs 5 lakh to each of the martyr's families and is currently finding out from several government sources where and how the amount will be distributed to ensure it is expedited."
