One of the most popular actors in Indian cinema, Irrfan Khan passed away yesterday in Mumbai. The actor was suffering from colon infection for the last two years. Not only the Indian film industry, but even Hollywood fraternity got shocked by the demise of Irrfan. Everyone across the world paid their last respects to the legendary actor. Popular actress Katrina Kaif also mourned the death of Irrfan by sharing a heartwrenching post. She termed his demise as an irreplaceable loss.
Katrina posted a photo of Irrfan on Instagram and captioned, "RIP. An irreplaceable loss. A true genius. Will be greatly missed. Can never forget our laughs during New York." Both of them worked together for the 2009 film New York. John Abraham and Neil Nithin Mukesh played the other lead roles in this Kabir Khan directorial film. Irrfan's role in this film was widely appreciated by critics and audiences.
Throughout his 32 years of career, Irrfan has acted in many memorable roles in films like Salaam Bombay, Haasil, Maqbool, Paan Singh Tomar, Haider, Talvar, Hindi Medium and The Namesake. He was last seen in the film Angrezi Medium, which got released in March this year.
