Director Mysskin's Pisasu was a gamechanger in the history of Tamil cinema. At a time when horror films were ruling the roost, Mysskin's Pisasu came as a breath of fresh air and gave a new color to the entire genre. The film was released in 2014 with new actors and still went on to become one of the most talked-about flicks in Kollywood. Nearly six years later, Pisasu is getting a sequel. Titled Pisasu 2, the sequel will have Andrea Jeremiah playing the lead role. On August 4, the first look popstar of Pisasu 2 was unveiled by director Vetri Maaran. The poster does not reveal anyone's face but still remains intriguing.
It shows a person who is smoking with their legs outside the bathtub. Earlier in December 2020, the makers of Pisasu 2 released Andrea's look from the film. They had also revealed that Andrea's look was modeled after her grandmother. Pisasu 2 also features Poorna and Santhosh Pratap in supporting roles with a cameo appearance y Vijay Sethupathi. If reports are believed to be true, Pisasu 2 might release in Telugu as well. Produced by T Muruganantham of Rockfort Entertainment, the film's music is composed by Karthik Raja. The films first single will be released soon.
