Before rumors of adapting Emmy award-winning sitcom, Modern Family came to the front, Anil Kapoor had already bought the rights to the show. Modern Family is an award-winning mockumentary that follows the lives of dysfunctional families in Los Angeles. The actor has also starred in the Hindi version of the American terrorism drama series 24. He earlier bought the rights to the series and starred in its Hindi adaptation which aired in 2013.

 
Actor Anil Kapoor has confirmed that the Hindi adaptation of Modern Family will not move forward. The idea was first presented in 2015. When asked for an update on the show, Anil Kapoor told PTI, “It’s not happening. Unfortunately, it didn’t materialize.”
 
Anil will be next seen in Anees Bazmee’s comedy Pagalpanti. The film also features John Abraham, Arshad Warsi, Ileana D'Cruz, Kriti Kharbanda, and Pulkit Samrat. The actor also has Malang and Karan Johar’s historical drama Takht lined up. Anil said his drive for his job helps him constantly push the boundaries. “I love my work. You have to love what you do to keep going back to it and everything falls in place. You have to love your work as much as you love your mother, wife or child. The purity is visible on the screen. You can’t fake genuine love,” he concluded.
