Antagonist again going back as ‘HERO’

Yes! Antagonist Jagapathi Babu who is a costly Villain in T-Town is likely to do a sequel, for one of his Superhit film in the past. As per the reports, 70mm Entertainments who produced Yatra recently is likely to bankroll the sequel of ‘Subhalagnam’ under the direction of a newcomer and Jagapathi Babu will play the lead role.
Currently, Jagapathi Babu is busy with Sye Raa schedule and he is also going to be roped in a Kannada film ‘Pogaru’ of Dhruva Sarja. Jagapathi Babu is playing a negative role against Dhruva in that film. This will be the Jagapathi Babu’s third film in Kannada after Bachchan and Jaguar.
Coming to the ‘Subhalagnam’ again, the film was a super hit in 1994 where Director SV Krishna Reddy came up with a different concept of selling husband for money. ‘Subhalagnam’ features Amani and Roja in leading roles as heroines and it is the film that took Jagapathi Babu’s image as a Family Hero to another level.
25 years later, Jagapathi Babu is playing antagonist roles in all quarters and he has a huge demand in the market currently, will this sequel as a hero will affect his market as a Villain. We have to wait and see.
