We had earlier reported that Kannada actress Anu Prabhakar Mukherjee had tested positive for the novel coronavirus. She confirmed the same with a social media post. Anu also added that the rest of her family members have tested negative. She is currently in home isolation as per the doctor's advice. In a recent interview, to a popular portal, Anu Prabhakar said that being in isolation is difficult.
She said, "On April 15, I felt deterioration in my gustatory (taste and smell) senses. By evening, I consulted my sister who is a doctor. She asked me to immediately isolate myself and get tested the next morning. I got to know I was COVID positive the following day. The past week has been mentally exhausting and the hardest for me since losing my father 17 years ago. You keep thinking about the worst that could happen. It did not help that I had my daughter knocking on my door asking me to feed her, read her a book or put her to bed and crying when I didn’t. One needs to understand that it is important to stay upbeat through this time. First, I was diagnosed early enough and could isolate at home, with people around me and not alone in a hospital. Second, everyone else in the family tested negative. Third, my symptoms were mild and I ensured everything was under control (sic)."
