June 21st marks the International Day for Yoga around the world. Yoga is considered to have its origins in India thousands of years ago and continues to be practised by many for its physical and psychological benefits. In India the task to promote Yoga falls under the banner of the Ministry of Ayush. In its latest attempt to promote the practise of yoga and healthy living the Ministry of Ayush has acquired Anushka Sharma to promote Yoga.
On Friday evening the official Twitter account of the Minister of Ayush wrote, "Let's all practice yoga for a better and calm tomorrow. Take part in the #MyLifeMyYoga video blogging contest. And send in your entries now. Last day to submit is 21st June 2020. #mygovindia #pibindia @AnushkaSharma."
The ministry also shared a video of Anushka Sharma talking about the health benefits of yoga. In the video the Pati actor says, "Yoga is the law and it tells us about how to moderate leading our lives. Yoga does not bind us, it liberates us. So, that we can look upon all the creatures of this world with the feeling of love and peace. So, in order to spread the message of peace and love let us begin by practicing yoga ?on 21 June? International Yoga Day."
On the work front Anushka Sharma is currently busy working on her upcoming production titled Bulbull. The period horror film will be available for viewers exclusively on Netflix. Bulbbul stars Tripti Dimri, Avinash Tiwary, Rahul Bose, Paoli Dam and Parambrata Chatterjee in various pivotal roles.
